Jeremiah 10:23

“Lord, I know that people’s lives are not their own; it is not for them to direct their steps.”

God knows our plans. He hears every dream whispered in prayer and sees every hope we’ve tucked away in our hearts. And sometimes, in His mercy, He even takes those plans into consideration. But ultimately, His purpose prevails.

What we think is best for us may only scratch the surface of what He intends. His plans are not just better, they are perfectly suited to who He created us to be. Where our vision ends, His begins.

We dream in moments, but He plans in eternity.

So when He redirects your path or closes a door you thought you needed, it isn’t rejection it’s redirection. It’s a loving Father saying, “I have something greater, but you’ll need to trust Me to see it.”

Surrender isn’t giving up on your dreams; it’s placing them in the hands of the One who can bring them to life in ways far beyond what you imagined.

This is the essence of surrender. The heart posture that says, “God, I trust You more than I trust myself.”

Letting go of control sounds simple, but living it out is far from easy. It requires a kind of faith that doesn’t just believe in God, but depends on Him completely. It’s the moment when obedience outweighs understanding, and faith becomes greater than fear.

True surrender means releasing our grip on conditional promises the “if You do this, then I’ll do that” prayers and giving God full authority over every situation.

Sometimes, He allows us to sit in disappointment to show us that our pain was born not from His absence, but from our resistance.

We tell Him, “I give it to You,” but our hands tremble around what we claim to surrender.

We hold it out, but never let it fall.

And God, with eyes full of mercy, watches us hover between obedience and ownership waiting for the sound of release, the moment when what we cling to finally hits the ground at His feet.

Surrender is not about losing control; it’s about transferring it from our weak hands to His capable ones.

The enemy has taught the world to crave the instant.

Instant answers.

Instant success.

Instant comfort.

But God works in the unseen. In patience, in process, in preparation. The soil of surrender often feels like stillness, but in that stillness, roots grow deep.

We live in a world that rewards hurry, but Heaven rewards humility.

The act of waiting is not wasted time, it’s the sacred classroom of trust.

When we pray and walk away before God speaks, we miss the whisper that could have changed everything. Surrender means praying and staying… Sitting long enough in His presence to let His peace replace our need for answers.

Trust that His silence still speaks.

Believe that His delay is divine protection.

Rest knowing His plan will unfold in perfect time.

Obey even when it doesn’t make sense.

Release every “what if” into His capable hands.

Surrender is not weakness it’s trust in motion.

It’s the quiet strength that says, “God, I don’t have to understand. I just have to obey.”

It’s choosing to walk by faith when the path ahead is unclear, because you know the One who leads cannot fail.
